Golf

Polaris World Golf Resorts offer the best golf opportunity in Europe. There will eventually be nine golf courses across seven resorts to make up the circuit created by Nicklaus Design and known as the "Nicklaus Golf Trail".

The fabulous Jack Nicklaus designed "Signature" course at Condado de Alhama opened in December 2009 and plans are in place for a further two "Bear’s Best" courses.

The Signature course is an exceptional 18 hole, par 72 course which is spread across an impressive 96 hectares. The design is of a natural look terrain including choice of different grass types to compliment the surrounding area.

The Signature course measures 6,900 metres from the furthest tee. Condado is one of the most ambitious courses featuring abrupt changes in elevation whilst making perfect use of the natural surroundings. There are four large lakes, dramatic bunkers and perfectly manicured greens. This exclusive and unique course will certainly challenge the most discerning golfer!

There is a temporary Club House and Pro-Shop in the Al Kazar town centre.

There is a courtesy bus service between Condado de Alhama and the resorts of La Torre, El Valle and Hacienda Riquelme meaning that you have easy access to all courses and facilities across the Polaris World resorts. Guests are free to use facilities at any of the other Polaris World resorts during their stay.

Golf packages and golf club hire are available – please enquire at time of booking. Restaurant packages are also available for groups of golfers consisting of 3 course meal with wine/beer, and transport to and from the restaurant.

Other Facilities

In addition to the Nicklaus Golf Trail, Polaris World resorts offer a variety of leisure and sporting facilities, including swimming pools, gymnasiums, tennis, squash, paddle tennis, basketball and football pitches and children’s play areas.

Each resort has a variety of family and luxury restaurants in which to enjoy the best Mediterranean cuisine. There are also bars, pubs and cafes, each with their own individual atmosphere.

The resorts offer supermarkets, golf stores, hairdressers, spas, medical centres and car rental services, so that you have access to every type of facility you are likely to need.

           

Al Kazar Town Centre

The 'Al Kazar' (meaning palace or mansion in Arabic) town centre opened in July 2009. The town centre is built in Arabic style with grand entrances and a large central feature pool which is illuminated at night. There are tall palms around the inner perimeter of the town centre which are also illuminated.

The town centre is exclusively for the use of residents and guests of Condado de Alhama.

Al Kazar presently houses the Clover Bar, with its luxurious outside seating area overlooking the feature pool. There are two restaurants, which both serve delightful Mediterranean cuisine and a good choice of beers, wines and spirits.

The well stocked supermarket is situated in the Al Kazar town centre, offering a good choice of fresh produce, freshly baked bread and pastries, wines, beers and spirits – in fact everything you are likely need during your stay.

The temporary Golf Club House and Pro-Shop are also housed in the Al Kazar town centre.

  

Oasis

The Oasis town centre will be the star aspect of Condado de Alhama. It has been conceived as an island in the centre of a large lake – a medina surrounded by water and palm trees, with stunning Mediterranean architecture. It will have plazas, fountains and secluded little squares. Water will flow alongside the streets, forming ponds and fountains, giving rise to small boat piers.

The main street will be at the heart of the Oasis, stretching from one side to the other of the town centre. There will be food outlets, attractive shopping areas, restaurants, bars, stores and services, leading to the water palace.

There will be a small island on which the Water Palace stands. Here you will be able to enjoy anything and everything to do with water – Jacuzzis, saunas and swimming pools.

The Oasis has been developed by a firm of specialist architects who specialise in the rehabilitation of buildings that have been classified as having architectural heritage.

Work has not yet started on the building of the Oasis and there is presently no up to date information available as to when the project will commence. We will update the website once further information is available.

How To Get There

The resort is situated approximately 45/50 minutes from Murcia San Javier airport and approximately 1 hour 10 minutes from Alicante airport. The new international airport at Corvera is due to open in late 2010/2011 and this can be reached within 15 to 20 minutes.

From the Airport

Car hire is recommended and there are a number of car hire companies within the arrivals hall at San Javier airport and in the airport terminal building at Alicante. The resort of Condado de Alhama is easily accessed by the motorway network and detailed travel directions will be sent to you prior to departure.
